Chapter 562: Gloria
Chapter 562: Gloria
The moment the hand approached her neck, Lana grabbed Yasmine’s wrist firmly.A surge of mystical energy immediately erupted from her palm and flowed into her grip.
As the battle continued, Axel quietly released his own mystical energy.
Like an enormous net, it slowly expanded through the room, wrapping every corner with his presence.
By the time the Vox’s Spirit realized something was wrong, it was already too late.
It straightened within Yasmine’s body and glared at Lana with hatred. "According to the contract, external help was not allowed!"
Its furious voice echoed throughout the room.
Lana ignored the complaint completely. With a swift motion, she threw Yasmine’s body back onto the bed.
The next second, countless strands of mystical energy appeared from every direction.
They wrapped around Yasmine’s wrists, ankles, waist, and shoulders before tightly binding her to the bed.
Yasmine struggled repeatedly.
Her body twisted violently while the possessed spirit desperately attempted to break free.
Unfortunately for it, Axel remained calm.
Ever since reaching the Spiritual Monarch level, his control over mystical energy had become astonishingly refined. He could weave his power into threads so fine that they resembled invisible silk while remaining stronger than steel chains.
No matter how much Yasmine struggled, she could not escape.
Once Axel finished securing her, Lana slowly condensed another sphere of mystical energy between her palms.
Without hesitation, she pushed it directly into Yasmine’s body.
"No! No! This wasn’t how things were supposed to go!"
The Vox screamed hysterically. Its voice carried panic and disbelief. Unfortunately, nobody paid attention to its cries.
The moment the sphere entered Yasmine’s body, a violent explosion of mystic energy erupted from within.
The spirit occupying her body was engulfed by blazing energy. Its screams echoed endlessly throughout the room.
Then slowly, those screams became weaker. And weaker. Until finally they disappeared completely. The process lasted nearly half an hour.
By the time everything ended, the room had become a complete mess. After the explosion subsided, Lana immediately conducted another inspection.
Then she turned toward Mr. Crow. "Please perform another examination as well."
Mr. Krude nodded. "Of course."
After completing a thorough checkup, he finally released a long breath. "It’s gone."
Only after hearing those words did everyone truly relax. The moment the tension disappeared, all of them nearly collapsed onto the floor.
What had happened might have appeared easy from the outside, but the reality was entirely different.
Axel had been using nearly half of his total power the entire time.
Lana had exhausted an even greater amount of energy.
Meanwhile, Mr. Crow had been working continuously behind the scenes. One talisman after another was activated to replenish Lana’s mystical energy while simultaneously stabilizing Axel’s control over the spirit’s power.
In fact, Mr. Crow had also been using his own psychic energy to suppress Vox.
The strain had been enormous. That was why all of them were now breathing heavily while trying to recover.
After regaining some strength, Lana slowly stood up. Axel rubbed his sore shoulder before getting to his feet as well.
Together, they conducted one final inspection. Only after ensuring that every trace of black energy had been completely annihilated did they decide to leave.
Outside the clinic, the moment they stepped out, Declan hurried toward them. His expression was filled with anxiety. "What happened?"
Although he wanted to ask Axel, he knew Axel rarely explained such matters.
Lana looked at him and answered calmly. "She’s inside. The possession has been completely dealt with."
The moment those words left her mouth, Hardias’s eyes instantly became red. Tears gathered uncontrollably.
His sisters were no different. One of them stepped forward and hugged Lana tightly.
Her voice trembled softly. "Thank you..."
Lana awkwardly patted her shoulder. After everything was finished, Declan arranged rooms for everyone at a nearby hotel.
While they were preparing to leave, he once again thanked Lana repeatedly.
Lana simply adjusted her bag and smiled. "It’s alright. I’m getting paid for this."
Hearing those words only made the sisters cry harder. She wiped her eyes and shook her head.
"Money is the most useless thing compared to saving someone’s life."
Declan then informed Lana about the Shiki’s location.
"The Shiki was last seen in Twin Forest."
After receiving the information, Lana immediately relayed everything to Axel.
Axel applied for leave without hesitation.
"I already know that even if I have enough money to hire professionals, inviting students as practical training would still be more efficient."
So the next day at university he informed everyone.
Several students quickly agreed to participate.
Meanwhile, Gloria had been waiting outside the classroom for Lana.
The moment she saw Lana leaving, she hurried over.
"Miss Lana, there is something I would like to talk about."
Lana stopped and smiled gently. "Of course. Please go ahead."
The next moment, Gloria suddenly bowed deeply. Lana was startled. She immediately reached forward and helped her straighten up.
"What are you doing?"
Gloria’s eyes had already become moist.
Her voice was quiet and emotional.
"When I first awakened as a Mystic Cultivator, I had a sponsor supporting me."
She paused briefly.
"However, he died midway through my training. After his death, his wife refused to continue sponsoring me. I wanted to seek help from other sponsors, but I had rejected all of them before. By then, they had already become my enemies."
Hearing that, Lana nodded silently.
She still couldn’t understand why Gloria was thanking her specifically.
Seeing her confusion, Gloria continued.
"Then I learned about this organization. The organization that helps students achieve their dreams."
Only then did Lana finally understand.
Gloria looked directly at her.
"And I know you are the one who approved my application. Miss Lana... thank you so much. I will never forget this kindness."
Lana paused for a moment before waving her hand dismissively.
"Alright, alright. It was only a small matter. There is no need to make such a big deal out of it."
Then she lowered her voice slightly.
"Also... could you avoid telling everyone about me?"
Gloria blinked in surprise. A hesitant expression appeared on her face. "Why?"
