REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 364: Boundaries

Chapter 364: Boundaries

The newcomer's eyes snapped toward Alice."Mother…" he whispered. The moment he saw her bloodied state, something inside him twisted. The suffocating aura around him grew more dreadful.

"Audrey," Logan called.

With a faint hum, the sword shot out from his storage ring and hovered in the air, its tip aligned with Logan's gaze.

Logan slowly raised his hand.

"Don't move, boy. Or she di..." Mirena's voice trembled as she tried to threaten him, panic creeping into her tone. But before she could finish...

It happened.

A silver streak flashed through the air. In the next instant…

Audrey was gone.

And so was Mirena's hand... The very one gripping Alice's hair.

For a brief moment, the entire arena fell into stunned silence. It had been too fast. Far too fast. No one could even process what had just happened.

Then...

A piercing scream shattered the stillness.

Mirena's agony finally caught up to her.

At that moment, Ali Arkman, along with Gideon and Luna, arrived at the scene. The first thing they heard was that blood-curdling scream.

Arthur's brows furrowed, fury blazing in his eyes. "Kill him!" he roared.

Ali Arkman and Gideon instinctively moved to act...

But they stopped.

What happened next… Was beyond anything they were prepared to witness. Even knowing Logan was a monster didn't prepare them for this.

Logan didn't move from his spot. He simply swept his hand from right to left. And the silver streak obeyed. In a single breath...

Ten heads fell in succession. Thud. Thud. Thud.

Arthur froze. So did his aide... The S-class veteran from Velkar. Neither of them could move.

Darius yanked his hand away from Daliah, fear flashing across his face.

At last, the S-class veteran made his move.

Mana surged through his body as he conjured a blazing chain, identical to the one binding Rowan. He then hurled it toward Logan.

But Logan didn't even bother to look back.

He simply raised two fingers… and swept them backward.

.

A tiny orange sphere shot out — no larger than a marble — gliding past his fingertips and colliding with the incoming chain.

The moment they touched.

Whoosh!

A burst of volcanic fire erupted outward, instantly swallowing the blazing chain.

And in the next moment. Poof. Nothing remained but drifting ash.

Logan turned toward him, ready to make his move. The S-class mage panicked, raising his hand to cast another spell.

But before Logan could act...

"Don't. Or she dies. I'm not joking." A voice rang out.

Logan tilted his head slightly. It was Darius.

A dagger was pressed tightly against Alice's throat. One wrong move, and her life would be over. Arthur let out a long breath of relief. Even the S-class veteran exhaled, only now realizing he had been holding his breath the entire time.

"Well done, Darius. Very well done." Arthur chuckled, his tone filled with satisfaction. "Looks like you've finally found your courage." He smirked.

"Now… deal with him. I doubt he'll do anything reckless while she's in our hands."

What none of them noticed was the calmness in Logan's eyes. As if Darius's threat meant nothing.

Then...

His eyes turned golden. Logan looked straight at Darius. And Darius… looked back.

His body froze.

"Drop the knife. Let her go." Logan's voice was calm. Almost indifferent.

For a moment, Arthur's side burst into laughter. Some scoffed. Others laughed openly.

"He might be the strongest one here, but he still doesn't understand the situation," they thought, dismissing him as another fool acting on impulse — just like Rowan.

But then... The laughter died.

The dagger slipped from Darius's hand.

Clang!

His gaze remained locked onto Logan, pupils trembling. It was as if — If he disobeyed… he would die.

And then... Still dazed, still frozen...

Darius released Alice.

"Darius, you numbskull...." Arthur started scolding, but his voice trailed off as Logan spoke calmly.

"Darius…" He started, his voice low but firm.

"Since childhood, I've never had any personal grudge against you. I never cared about fighting over something as trivial as the position of family head. But you… You kept getting in my way." His gaze hardened.

"You and your mother tried to kill me. Even then… we let it go. The only punishment you received was imprisonment. And even that could have been lifted one day… if the two of you had reflected on your actions."

Logan paused. The silence that followed felt heavier than his words.

"But you…" His voice dropped, colder now, "You just had to cross the one line I can't tolerate."

His eyes locked onto Darius. "You threatened someone I care about." A faint killing intent seeped into the air. "For that… there is only one consequence."

Logan raised his hand. The sword slid into his grip as if drawn by an invisible force.

"No… no! Don't!" Mirena screamed, panic flooding her voice as she lunged forward.

Arthur moved as well, stepping in to shield Darius.

But...

It was too late.

Logan swung his sword. A crescent arc of energy tore through the air, slicing forward with unstoppable force. It passed through Darius, who still stood frozen.

For a split second… Nothing happened.

Then...

His upper body slid apart and collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud, dust rising around it.

Logan stood there, unmoving. Something about him had changed. He wouldn't have acted this decisively before. But the moment Darius pressed that dagger against Alice's throat… A memory had flashed through Logan's mind. A dream. The Spirit Mountain.

Zola… and that mysterious female voice. They had shown him a glimpse for his trial.

A bitter scene.

His mother, Alice… dying right in front of him.

Whether it had been real or not didn't matter.

That image had drawn a line. A boundary he would never allow anyone to cross.

Silence fell over the entire arena. Not just Arthur's side...

Everyone. They all froze.

Rowan. Daliah. Lilith. Even Alice. It was as if she were seeing her son for the first time.

Because no matter what Darius had done…

He had still been Logan's half-brother.
