REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 360: The Bold Attempt

Chapter 360: The Bold Attempt

While Logan and the rest of his companions were rushing toward a particular direction, something else was happening inside the largest dungeon in Solmyr.Gazel and Syrus stood before the dungeon boss.

"Were you able to find any cultivators?" the boss asked, his voice hoarse and heavy.

"No, Boss," Gazel replied, lowering his head slightly. "We encountered many strong opponents over the past few days, but unfortunately… none of them were cultivators."

"No matter," the boss said calmly. "Reinforcements have arrived."

As his words fell, a figure emerged from the shadows of a door — Karlos. Three more monsters followed behind him, their presence suffocating as a powerful aura radiated from their bodies.

"Go out again," the boss continued. "This time, work harder. And if you cannot find cultivators… then bring back strong humans instead."

His eyes gleamed faintly. "Karlos has already extracted the memories from the bodies you two merged with. He can teach them the cultivation technique. What they lack now… are human vessels to leave the dungeon."

"Yes, Boss," Syrus answered firmly.

Both Gazel and Syrus bowed and turned to leave, but before they could take a step...

"Boss," Karlos spoke, stepping forward. "I have created a pendant capable of detecting individuals with high reserves of spiritual energy. With it, they should be able to locate cultivators much more easily." A hint of pride lingered in his tone.

The boss let out a low chuckle. "Hahaha… Good. Very good." He turned his gaze toward Gazel. "Give it to Gazel. And you two — do not disappoint me this time."

"Yes, Boss."

With that, both Gazel and Syrus bowed once more before leaving the dungeon.

"Wait for their return," the boss said, turning his gaze toward the three newly arrived monsters. "Once they bring back more human bodies… You will be able to venture into the outside world as well."

"Yes, Boss," all three replied in unison.

"The time is not far," the boss continued, a sinister smile creeping onto his face. "Soon… this entire planet will belong to us. Khekhekhe…" His laughter echoed through the dungeon.

Time passed.

After bidding his companions farewell for the day, Darius made his way down a quiet corridor.

He stopped before a door. Daliah's room. Or more precisely, the room she had been forced into.

Rowan and Lilith had been staying with her, but today, just an hour ago, Darius had arranged for them to be moved elsewhere.

Rowan had tried to resist. But Duke Arthur had already stationed powerful enforcers to carry out Darius's will — five in total. One Tier Five mage, and the remaining four at Tier Four. All of them hailed from the Kingdom of Velkar.

Darius pushed the door open and stepped inside. The moment he crossed the threshold...

Whoosh!

A lamp came hurtling straight toward his head.

"Get lost! Why are you here?!" Daliah's voice rang out, filled with fury.

Darius tilted his head slightly and dodged the attack with ease. He had already stepped into Tier Two and was only a step away from breaking into Tier Three. Meanwhile, Daliah, though also at Tier Two, had spent the past few years focusing on cultivation rather than magic. As a result, her spellcasting had dulled — and her cultivation, still in its early stages, had yet to grant her any real advantage.

In terms of strength… she was far behind.

Darius walked further into the room, a malicious grin spreading across his face.

"Don't act so high and mighty, Princess," Darius sneered. "You were the one so eager to train with that concubine's son. And now you act like this? What — are you looking down on me?"

Daliah's gaze turned cold, filled with undisguised disdain.

"Looking down on you?" she said icily. "Are you even worthy of being noticed? And what gave you the audacity to compare yourself to Logan? If he is a tiger… You are nothing more than an insect crawling at his feet."

For a moment, silence fell.

Then...

Darius's eyes turned bloodshot. The fragile confidence he had been rebuilding shattered in an instant. What replaced it… was raw, unrestrained fury.

He strode toward Daliah.

Pha!

A slap rang sharply through the room. The force sent Daliah staggering, her body nearly collapsing.

"How dare you?"

Pha!

Another slap.

"How dare you speak to me like that?" Darius roared, his voice trembling with rage. "Do you think I'm afraid of Logan? I'm not afraid of anyone!"

Yet despite his words, there was something hollow beneath them — as if he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else.

Suddenly, Darius shoved Daliah onto the bed. "I'll see how long you can keep acting tough," he said, a cruel edge creeping into his voice as he pounced on her.

Daliah was sixteen now. Though she wasn't fully mature, she had changed a lot over the past few years. Cultivation had refined her presence, giving her a gentle, composed allure that could easily draw attention. There was a natural elegance about her — something subtle yet captivating — that made it difficult for anyone not to look twice.

And Darius was at that age now.... adolescence, where impulse often drowned out reason. Combined with the rage boiling inside him and his grandfather's order, whatever restraint he once had was slipping away.

Daliah struggled desperately to push Darius away, but his strength overwhelmed her. She felt utterly helpless against him.

Darius leaned in, brushing his nose along her neck. Daliah squeezed her eyes shut, her teeth clenched in disgust.

Seconds passed, and Darius grew bolder. But just when Daliah thought she was finished — just when Darius believed he had completely overpowered her...

Something unexpected happened.

Bang!

Something heavy slammed into Darius from the side. His body lifted in the air and was violently thrown across the room, crashing hard against the wall.

Crack!

Darius's body dug a hole in the wall, half inside, half outside.

Daliah opened her eyes in shock, and then tears of relief swelled up in the corners.

In the door, Rowan stood there, his hand raised, eyes cold.

"You have got some nerve."
