Chapter 64 Klein's Letter
Chapter 64 Klein's Letter
After arriving in the Joewood district, Evan first placed his uniform and rank insignia, which he had received from MI9, in his apartment, and then went to a nearby restaurant to eat something to fill his stomach.
After finishing his meal, Evan saw that he still had some time left, so he went to check out another apartment and found that it was very suitable for rent. He then decided to rent it out so that it wouldn't be left vacant.
In fact, it's not just this apartment; Evan also plans to rent out another villa in the West End.
As for the previous apartment in the Joewood district, it served as Evan's residence after he moved out of his villa in Queens.
Evan had already explained this to Robert yesterday, and after much consideration, Robert reluctantly agreed, but asked Evan to come back for dinner on Sunday.
After inspecting his property, Evan returned to his apartment to prepare the "Rossel's Diary" that he would present to Klein during the meeting.

Meanwhile, Klein was also writing a letter in the mysterious Gray Mist Palace, which he intended to deliver to Evan through the "Fool".
In his letter, Klein described in detail his experiences over the past few days, including his chance encounter with Riel Bieber on the way home one evening.
She discovered signs of fraud in his investment and that she had entrusted the investigation to Leonard, and warned Evan not to invest lightly (whether this was the work of a mastermind).
To avoid missing anything, Klein also wrote about how he advised his club colleagues to be cautious with their investments this morning, but was considered too conservative (and whether this would implicate too many people).
Through Mr. Grassis, I learned that there is another "pharmacist" in Tingen who can treat difficult and complicated diseases. (Could this extraordinary person be a pawn of the mastermind behind the scenes? Should we get rid of him in advance?)
Then she wrote about how she successfully divined the situation of a woman's fiancé, and this morning the fiancé came to her door again to divine his terrible experience at sea and to learn that there was an extraordinary person behind the case (whether this extraordinary person is related to the mastermind).
Finally, Klein spoke about Mrs. Sharon, saying that he found her to be from a completely different world, unable to communicate with her at all, and couldn't find any reason to report her. He asked Evan to find a reason for him.
Klein had intended to tentatively ask Evan if he knew anything about the Antigonus family treasure in the Hornachis Mountains, but after thinking about it, he realized that Evan might have mistaken "The Fool" for an ancestor of the Antigonus family or Roselle, and that asking such a question might arouse his suspicion, so he had no choice but to give up.
Throughout the letter, Klein avoided directly stating the questions he wanted to ask, instead using the normal style of letter writing to subtly inquire about them.
After finishing the letter, Klein checked it again and memorized its contents. He couldn't send the letter to the gray fog yet; he had to materialize it there, just like Miss Justice and the others.
Klein knew that the Gray Mist was his biggest advantage over other Extraordinary Beings, and that it could even help him break free from the influence of the mastermind behind the scenes and break through the script to a certain extent. Therefore, he had always wanted to explore the Gray Mist in depth.
He has already designed the name and ritual, and has tested it once, finding that it can indeed connect with the gray fog. He plans to announce the ritual and name at the Tarot meeting so that members of the Tarot meeting can test it.
Upon realizing it was exactly 3 PM, Klein didn't hesitate to select three familiar deep red stars.
On a ghost ship sailing with the wind in the Sunia Sea, Alger stood ready in his captain's cabin. When the three pointers on the sextant all reached the correct position, a deep red color appeared in his eyes.
In a magnificent bedroom in Queensback, Backlund, Audrey leaned against velvet pillows, detached and looking down at herself as she was engulfed in red light, her expression calm and detached.
Having just finished writing Roselle's Diary, Evan sat on the leather sofa in his apartment, unsurprised to watch his celestial being, under the protection of the Mysterious City's shadow, being guided by the power of Mr. Fool to the gray fog.
When the three figures appeared simultaneously on the eternally unchanging, ancient and magnificent palace above the gray mist, Klein immediately noticed that the aura of Audrey, the only one who was not an extraordinary being, had become a unified color, pure and serene like a lake in a forest.
"Congratulations, Miss Justice, you have become an Extraordinary One." Mr. Fool was the first to congratulate Audrey.
After Audrey thanked both Mr. Fool and Mr. Hanged Man, Mr. Fool spoke again:
"Have you found Russell's diary during this time?"
Under the scrutiny of the "audience," Mr. Hanged Man composed himself and said that he had collected two pages of Russell's diary.
Audrey said she had collected one page.
Mr. Evan, also known as "Power," said he had collected two pages of the diary.
The three people successively manifested the contents of their diaries, completely imitating them, for Mr. Fool to read.
From the diaries submitted by the three men, "The Fool" Klein learned about Roselle's origins, her marriage, the path she chose, and how she explored the Misty Sea aboard the ghost ship "Black Throne," which she had discovered through archaeology, and found an island inhabited by many strange creatures.
These diaries greatly helped Klein understand this fellow countryman he had never met, and the descriptions of potion digestion greatly boosted his confidence in playing the role of the summary.
When Klein continued reading Evan's diary, he found Mr. "Door's" description of the Four Emperors' war, which taught Klein many things not found in history books. He learned that even gods can go mad, about the impact of the Pale Disaster, and about which four emperors were involved in the war.
This made Klein marvel at the sheer volume of information on those two pages, and he also understood why previous archaeological discoveries referred to the Fourth Age as the "Age of the Gods," when the gods frequently descended to earth.
Furthermore, Mr. "Men" also mentioned two laws of extraordinary paths: one is the law of the indestructibility of extraordinary properties, and the other is the law of the conservation of extraordinary properties within similar sequences.
This also greatly benefited Klein, who speculated whether there were similar paths among the seven gods, and whether their historical struggles and the conflicts of the nations they supported could have arisen from this law, aside from secular factors.
Because he knew very little about the methods possessed by other orthodox churches, Klein couldn't figure it out and could only decide to ask the captain for some relevant occult materials after he went to work tomorrow.
