Chapter 14 Goddess of Harvest - Semina
Chapter 14 Goddess of Harvest - Semina
Yue Feng was summoned to the material plane for the second time.
The blinding glare slowly faded, and the blurred vision gradually focused.
Looking up, with the aid of dark vision, everything around me turned into a hazy gray scene.
Yue Feng saw a collapsed stone statue in front of him, which he could vaguely make out as the outline of a woman.
On the left side of the steps leading to the stone statue stands an ancient inscription.
The inscription on it has long since become mottled and blurred, making it difficult to recognize.
Above the stone steps, the original sacrificial altar has mostly collapsed, leaving only a broken and dilapidated stone base.
It is obvious that this is a long-abandoned underground temple.
Yue Feng walked to the square stele, plucked a pinch of dust from it, and muttered to himself, "I wonder how many years this place has been sealed away."
Then, he slowly focused his attention on the square tablet and silently said in his mind: Check the panel!
A few seconds later, a flash of gray light appeared in the corner of my eye, and a line of data text appeared before my eyes.
Semina, the Goddess of Harvest
Of the entire inscription, only these seven ancient characters were successfully deciphered; the rest of the runes turned into distorted gibberish.
"Hey, hurry up and follow me!"
The earth elemental summoner took a puff of his pipe, lit a torch, and cursed, "Damn it! Brainless idiots!"
Yue Feng naturally couldn't understand what the other person was saying, but he could clearly sense the anxiety and unease in his heart.
I turned around and looked.
He was an old man with a limp, Mediterranean hair.
He was around 40 years old, wearing a linen long gown that let in drafts everywhere. He was about 1.5 meters tall, with a round belly sticking out high, and it was stained with mottled wine stains.
A short sword without a scabbard hung casually at his left waist, looking nonchalant, carefree, and slovenly.
Yue Feng thought he looked a bit like a Japanese kappa.
"View panel!"
Ding-a-ling~
A piercing sound of a copper bell echoed in my mind, the gray light in the corner of my eye slowly faded, and then a series of white characters refreshed before my eyes.
This time, the system ran for less than a minute.

"What kind of sickly girl is this? She doesn't even have a job level, she's weaker than Sovia!"
Yue Feng stared at John's character panel, lost in thought.
Two cancers, plus a limp and a rash, resulted in a deduction of a full 5 levels in racial rating!
They cut it in half!
Yue Feng had speculated that species level was related to individual health value, but he was never able to determine the correlation.
John Garrison is now the best proof of this.
He was once, perhaps, a high-quality human male at level 10, but now he has become a frail and sickly man.
"People who don't even cherish themselves aren't worth protecting. They'd be better off dead!"
Yue Feng, chewing on sand, followed John while grumbling.
Dissatisfaction had already arisen in my heart.
They were thinking they could reopen the business if they had a chance to make some profit.
The two of them went deeper and deeper into the temple, which seemed to connect to underground caves. The paths were so intricate that it was impossible to distinguish the route.
Yue Feng remained vigilant about the potential alarms that the tremors might trigger.
The underground caves are already teeming with countless monsters, not to mention these caves with an unknown number of entrances that connect to dangerous ancient human ruins.
Anything and everything can pop up.
Humph~
John stopped at the dead end of the rock face, looking wary, and turned to look back.
"This should be it."
He bent down close to the rock face, and after groping around for a while, he found a protruding mound of earth.
Bang bang bang! Bang bang bang!
John struck the rock face repeatedly with two fast strikes followed by one slow strike.
Moments later, the soil embedded in the rock wall began to loosen and collapse, slowly sinking into the ground along the cracks.
A gap suddenly appeared in front of the two, just big enough for one person to bend over and pass through.
Yue Feng felt that sealing the road with mud on the rock face was somewhat like burying one's head in the sand.
But considering the intricate, labyrinthine terrain inside the cave, such a blockade wasn't entirely unnecessary.
Click-clack!
Click-clack!
A series of soft, rustling sounds came from the dark passage behind Yue Feng.
The tremor sensation also issued a sharp alarm at the same time.
Yue Feng turned around and took a look.
"Wang Defa!"
Suddenly, three or four spiders emerged from the far end of the passage.
Each of them is as big as an adult dog, and their more than thirty legs clatter against each other, making a crisp clicking sound.
After silently counting the number of enemies, Yue Feng concluded that he had the strength to fight.
After all, it is not afraid of venom, and its size and weight far exceed those of the giant dog spider.
But the next second, a dense swarm of spiders surged in from the end of the passage, a dark, overwhelming mass.
In no time, the top of my head, the ground, and the rock walls were covered with spiders.
"Earth element, heed my command! Block off the key routes!"
John gave the order and immediately scrambled and crawled into the gap in the rock wall.
"I'll block your father's way!"
Yue Feng understood what the old man meant and immediately activated his body transformation.
A thought crossed my mind.
The elemental spirits abandoned most of their earthen and stone bodies and followed John into the gap in the rock wall.
After successfully passing through the rock wall, he immediately reached his arm into the ground and cast a clay magic spell on the gap behind him.
Magic burst forth from the elemental essence, flowing down the rocky sand arm and into the ground.
A large patch of sand suddenly bulged up from the ground, quickly sealing the gap in the rock wall completely.
"Drink! Drink! Drink!"
John collapsed to the ground, panting heavily like a bellows.
"Garrison, what's wrong with you? You went out to scout things out and caused such a commotion?"
A slightly melancholy-looking middle-aged man spoke up to ask.
John Garrison staggered to his feet and stammered:
"Don't even mention it. Those sons of bitches of bandits are still out there clearing out bandits. They'll be staying for at least another month."
"Also, there are more and more giant spiders in this godforsaken place. We'd better find another thief's den."
Ding.
[Name: Marcus ※※※※ (lv?)]
[Race: Human, Male, Level 1 (Common Species)]
[Equipment]: Cedarwood Staff (Common)
[Backpack]: Linen rope, Marcus ※※※※'s wanted poster, 3 gold coins, 24 silver coins, silver flask, magic-resistant shackles
Yue Feng silently brought up the character panel of the melancholy man opposite him.
Although most of the information on the panel was still gibberish and question marks, he could deduce some clues just from this wanted poster.
"So you bunch of bastards are robbers and bandits!"
