Chapter 441 - 405: Association Selection (5)
Aurora Sinclair’s expression darkened the moment she heard the name.
The hands hanging at her sides suddenly clenched into fists.
Alvin Morgan discreetly took her hand. He sat down casually and asked the man from the Western Continent, "Has he given you a mission yet?"
"Not yet. He said to wait."
The man from the Western Continent didn’t notice Aurora Sinclair’s odd reaction and poked at the campfire on the ground with a branch.
Just then, Hector Lennox’s voice suddenly echoed from the sky. "Find the Rainbow Paper scattered nearby and bring it to me."
Aurora Sinclair immediately thought of the red paper in her pocket.
"Rainbow Paper? You mean this?" The man from the Western Continent pulled an orange piece of folded paper from his pocket, then asked Alvin Morgan, "Judge Hall gave me a piece of paper. Did he give you any?"
"No."
"Really?" The man from the Western Continent looked at them suspiciously, finding it hard to believe.
Alvin Morgan replied coolly, "We weren’t the first ones to find him."
The man from the Western Continent seemed to accept this explanation. He stood up and said, "How about we work together? There must be more paper of the same colors here. If we find any, we can share. What do you say?"
Alvin Morgan thought for a moment and agreed to his proposal.

The three of them split up to look for the paper.
For Alvin Morgan’s safety, Aurora Sinclair had Ditto stay with him for protection.
The Ghost Village had many colors of folded paper hidden within it, mostly purple, blue, and cyan.
The three of them found quite a few of these three colors and exchanged them with each other.
"I don’t think there’s any more here. I’m going to search outside the village." The man from the Western Continent put away the three colors of paper, picked up his supply bag, and prepared to leave.
The Ghost Village was surrounded by a dense birch forest, which was likely the only place with vegetation on the Continent of Boreas.
The straight, towering birch trees were covered in a thick layer of white snow.
The three of them entered the birch forest at the same time, heading in different directions.
As expected, there were other colors of folded paper here, but by count, purple, blue, and cyan were the most numerous.
Aurora Sinclair found green and yellow folded paper in the snow piled on top of the birch trees. Now she and Alvin Morgan were just missing two pieces of orange paper and one piece of red.
She hadn’t seen either of these two colors yet. It was highly likely that obtaining them was the true test from the International Martial Alliance.
While the three were searching for paper, the two Southelanders also returned. They looked as if they had endured some great hardship; their clothes were tattered and their exposed skin was covered in wounds.
Hector Lennox’s voice announcing the mission rang out again. Aurora Sinclair instantly leaped up and raced toward the source of the sound.
She stopped at the foot of a mountain deep within the dense forest.
She found two pieces of orange folded paper there.
She looked up at the summit and thought she saw a figure standing there, looking down on her.
She pressed her lips together and leaped several meters into the air, as if intending to climb to the peak to find him.
But the Ditto mechanical arm strapped to her own arm suddenly issued a warning.
"Warning, Dad is under attack! Warning, Dad is under attack!"
At the same time, the earth-shaking roar of a bear echoed out.
’Damn it—’
Aurora Sinclair gave up on finding Hector Lennox. She jumped straight down from the cliff face and dashed across the birch trees in Alvin Morgan’s direction.
「Meanwhile.」
Alvin Morgan clutched his injured arm, slowly backing away.
In front of him stood three ferocious brown bears, and behind them lay a fourth, already dead.
The man from the Western Continent looked scared out of his wits, trembling as he hid behind Alvin Morgan.
’This guy from the Western Continent has some insane luck. He just wandered around a bit and managed to find a bear’s den.’
’If I hadn’t saved him, my arm wouldn’t have been swiped by a bear’s paw.’
Alvin Morgan’s expression was grim.
"It’s over, it’s over, I’m a dead man for sure..." the man from the Western Continent muttered incessantly.
"Shut up—"
Alvin Morgan couldn’t help but snap back.
The Ditto mechanical arm he was wearing only had enough power for one more laser blast.
He was panting heavily. He lowered his voice and said, "In a moment, I’m going to attack the bear on the far right. You run as fast as you can."
"I... I..."
"Three, two, one... Run!"
A red laser shot out from Alvin Morgan’s arm again, slicing directly into the rightmost brown bear’s eye.
The bear’s roar sounded again, and the brown bears charged them as if in a frenzy.
Alvin Morgan swiftly dodged a bear’s paw and dashed for the only opening.
"AHH..." The man from the Western Continent suddenly screamed. He seemed to trip on something and pitched forward.
The blinded brown bear immediately swiped towards the sound, blocking Alvin Morgan’s only escape route.
’Useless trash—’
Alvin Morgan’s gaze darkened. He pulled out a dagger and stabbed at the bear’s paw. At the same time, he dropped low, sliding forward on his knees just as the paw scraped past him.
He had temporarily broken out of the encirclement. Just as he was about to keep running, the man from the Western Continent in front of him suddenly turned and struck him with a heavy palm. Fortunately, Alvin Morgan was already on guard and dodged sideways, but the pursuing brown bear still managed to land a blow on his back.
Blood sprayed from his mouth.
Alvin Morgan felt a searing pain, as if his internal organs were on fire. Gritting his teeth and holding his breath, he leaped directly onto a birch tree.
The brown bears below clawed ceaselessly at the bark, trying to shake him down.
The man from the Western Continent, now temporarily safe, slowly rose to his feet. He looked at Alvin with a blank expression. "Morgan, today is the day you die!"
A powerful Power Domain slammed into the birch tree. With a loud BOOM, the trunk seemed to have been struck by an immense force, and the frozen earth around its roots began to crack.
The entire tree began to shake violently.
’His power has actually reached the Advanced Martial King Realm.’
"So it really was you!" Alvin Morgan clung tightly to the tree trunk, his face showing no surprise.
He had calculated the trajectory of the giant falling rock in the first trial. Based on the direction it fell, it shouldn’t have come straight for them. It was obvious someone above had used a Power Domain to change the boulder’s course.
He originally suspected the two Southelanders and the Amerian, but it wasn’t until this man returned first during this trial that he started to suspect him.
’How could someone strong enough to find Judge Hall alone and return before us be too weak to dodge that rock back then?’
A smirk appeared on the face of the man from the Western Continent. He watched as the birch tree crashed to the ground and the enraged brown bears swarmed Alvin Morgan. "You’re very clever. Too bad you’re on your way to heaven..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a voice infused with the Power of Heaven and Earth boomed from the distance, growing closer, threatening to shatter his eardrums.
"You dare—"
A phantom-like figure swiftly severed the massive bear paw attacking Alvin Morgan. Blood splattered everywhere as the bear’s roar shook the heavens.
Aurora Sinclair scooped up the injured Alvin Morgan and dashed to a safe location.
Seeing this, the man from the Western Continent turned to flee, only to have a tree in front of him crash down, blocking his path.
"You hurt my man and think you can run? Do you really think you can get away?"
Aurora Sinclair’s voice was like that of a soul-reaping emissary from hell. It terrified the man from the Western Continent so much that he dropped to his knees and shouted, "My lord, spare me! My lord, spare me! I didn’t mean to... It was Lord Hector who made me do it..."
"What?"
After finishing off one of the brown bears, Aurora Sinclair froze.
Just then, Hector Lennox’s voice suddenly came from the sky: "You shameless whelp, you dare try to sow discord?"
An incredibly fast ice shard instantly pierced the forehead of the man from the Western Continent.
The man’s eyes flew wide open in disbelief. His body slowly toppled backward, dead but with his eyes still open.
