"100 fame to level 2. This won't take long," Erix grinned. "Let's go to that island and finish off some monsters."

The ship sailed forward on the fast flow of the ocean. Erix used Vortex Fan immediately after getting a straight passage towards the destination island. Chapter Experience:

A dark blue lightning fan manifested underwater, causing the surrounding waters to crackle with lightning. The fan spun and the ship instantly zoomed forward at the speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Rin and others had to swiftly grab something or the speed would've flung them.

"Erix, at least give a warning beforehand."

"Sorry. I didn't expect it to move this fast, haha. Anyway, ladies. Grab your weapons from the armory on the 1st hull floor. We are reaching the island soon."

Rin grabbed a sword, Isabella grabbed a shotgun rifle, and Aria picked up two pistoles.

After the ship arrived at the island, they docked it by dropping the anchor while Erix also went to pick up his weapon.

After looking at several options, he decided to pick up two chakrams. 'These will be deadly here.'

The squad left their ship and entered the island. Right as they left, a strange barrier appeared around the ship.

No other pirate or phenomenon could touch or break the ship if no players were inside.

Erix and others went into the jungle on the island and soon started encountering monsters.

Giant Razor Ants!

Ten ants surrounded them swiftly and the battle began.

The Giant Razor Ants scuttled forward with razor-sharp mandibles clicking menacingly.

"This is a big boost indeed," Erix nodded and punched the air, causing winds to form in a small area. "These gloves have the effect of gathering wind around me if I continue to punch and I can control that amount of particular wind, haha. This is gonna be fun to use."

"We still have an energy shield," Rin said. "I don't want to hold on to it because I'll only focus on attack."

"I'll take it," Isabella said as she grabbed the shield. "I can wield a spear with one hand and hold the shield with the other. If we need it, then I can rush over swiftly for aid and expand the shield."

"Good," Erix nodded and then took out the last item—a brown teddy bear with full body armor.

"Aria, this is yours," Rin grinned. "You'll be cute and you also need it, so you can shoot your rifle, which requires both hands."

"Okie!"

Aria entered inside the brown teddy bear armor, with only her face visible. "Wow, these hands feel like they are mine, and it's also cool and comfortable in the armor."

Aria grabbed the rifle with bear hands and since it was a big futuristic rifle already, the bear's index fingernail could comfortably pull the trigger.

This armor gave a certain amount of physical defense and immunity to water and ice attacks.

"The next level up will happen at 500 Fame. We need to kill 20 monsters. Let's move."

The group went deeper into the island, fully equipped with the new powerful gears.

However, they got powerful gears for a reason when they arrived in an open area with a cave attached to a hill, a new wave of monsters emerged from them.

Giant Earth Beetles!

Even though there were only seven of them, the battle still took time to finish because they were tougher and didn't die in just one attack.

Everyone coordinated and attacked their weak spots to kill them. It took them a whole two minutes to kill all of them.

The group acquired 70 fame by killing monsters.

"Let's go in that cave," Erix said as he walked towards the cave. "We might find a puzzle here."

After everyone entered the cave and walked through a dark passage for a minute, they arrived in a huge cavern illuminated with crystals attached to walls and ground.

"There are four statues, three fountains, and the creepy altar in the middle with a grotesque mix of multiple monsters."

Rin nodded and added, "This does look like a puzzle."

"Let's look around and see what is it about."

The group looked around the cave for ten minutes and inspected the anomalies. Afterward, they spent five minutes solving the puzzle and finally succeeded.
