REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 358: To Home

Chapter 358: To Home

Before Logan and the others could take their leave, three more figures arrived — the remaining family heads: Wei Zhong, Han Rui, and Shen Lian."Young Master, are you leaving already?" Shen Lian and Han Rui asked almost at the same time.

Logan gave a slight nod. "Yes. There are matters I must settle before I can help all of you ascend to the upper realm you've long awaited."

At his words, joy flickered across their faces. It was as if a long-held burden had finally begun to lift. Wei Zhong stepped forward and cupped his fists respectfully. "Then we wish you the best of luck on your journey, Young Master."

Logan returned the gesture with a calm nod before turning away. Without further delay, he set off. Lin Dao, Chianxu Long, Xiao Long, and Wansen Long — the eldest among them — followed closely behind.

From the corner of his eye, Wanabe glanced at Feng Dao, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

"Senior… you're not planning to betroth your granddaughter to the Young Master, are you?"

Cough! Caught! Feng Dao nearly choked, coughing awkwardly as if struck at his core.

"You… you can't say it like that," he retorted hastily. "I was merely concerned for the Young Master. That's why I sent someone around his age to accompany him — so he wouldn't feel alone." His denial sounded firm, but far from convincing.

Wanabe and the other three family heads exchanged subtle glances. None of them spoke, yet all of them saw straight through his intentions.

'Chianxu… it all depends on you now,' Wanabe thought inwardly. 'Don't disappoint us.'

Meanwhile, Logan and his group descended Spirit Mountain, reaching its base within half a day. A row of horses awaited them below.

"Young Master," Wansen said, stepping forward, "my brother arranged these so we can travel faster. I know you've been eager to reunite with your family."

Logan gave a brief nod. "Thank you. Let's get going then."

Without wasting another moment, all five mounted their horses. The sound of hooves thundered against the ground as they rode forward, leaving Spirit Mountain behind — their figures gradually fading into the distance.

Meanwhile, at that very moment… elsewhere.

"Father… are you certain this plan will work?" Mirena asked, her voice laced with unease.

Arthur Stevens cast her a calm glance, his expression unwavering. "Of course it will. The king dotes on his daughter. Prince Rowan holds immense value as well. Even though their mother is gone, the king treats all his children equally."

He paused briefly, his gaze turning colder.

"And now that we've already made a move against them, there's no turning back. We must ensure Darius gains complete control over the princes… otherwise, exile will be the least of our concerns."

Mirena's brows furrowed. "But can Darius really succeed? What if Princess Daliah refuses?"

Arthur's eyes narrowed slightly. "Then we'll make her accept it."

A heavy silence followed his words. "We've already kidnapped the third prince and the princess… and we have Logan's mother in our hands. Right now, that boy has the attention of everyone — the king, and even powerful figures like Ali Arkman and John William."

His voice lowered, turning grim. "If we fail now… there's no place left for us in this kingdom."

The room fell silent. Neither of them spoke again — as if both understood the weight of what was to come.

Inside a room within the same villa…

"What's going to happen to us, brother?" Daliah asked softly, her voice trembling. "Will Logan ever come back to save us?"

Rowan let out a quiet breath, his gaze steady yet weighed with concern. "I'm sure he will," he said. "But I don't know how long it will take. He might not even know where we are… or perhaps he doesn't even know about our situation yet." He paused briefly. "I just hope he doesn't arrive too late."

Hearing that, a wave of panic rose in Daliah's chest.

Rowan gently brushed her hair, his voice softening. "Don't worry. I'm here. Your brother won't let anything happen to you."

"Why are all of you acting so pathetic? Lilith suddenly cut in from the side, her expression filled with irritation. She clenched her fist and swung it lightly through the air.

"If that scum brother of Logan dares to come here again and harass you, just watch what I'll do to him."

"Don't act recklessly, Lilith," Rowan said calmly, though his tone carried weight. "Logan's mother is in their hands as well. Until Logan arrives, we need to make sure nothing escalates."

"Hmph." Lilith pouted, crossing her arms, clearly dissatisfied — but she didn't argue further.

The room fell into silence, tension hanging thick in the air.

In another room, Darius was with a group of people, downing glass after glass of wine. All were of his age, heirs of different noble families.

Darius was twenty-one years old now. Ever since his defeat in the Arcadia Young Elite Tournament, something inside him had shattered. His confidence… his pride… his very sense of future. To him, it felt as though everything had been stolen — and there was no way to reclaim it.

While Logan rose higher and higher, basking in glory with one achievement after another… Darius only sank deeper into despair.

Then came the final blow. His mother was accused of attempted murder, and the two of them were thrown into the Smith family prison. His world collapsed. His dreams crumbled. His mind teetered on the edge of breaking.

But just when everything seemed lost... Arthur Stevens — his grandfather — appeared like a beacon of salvation. Not only did he rescue them… he went even further.

He captured Logan's family. His closest friends.

And now, in Darius's eyes… Logan's life rested right in the palm of his hand.

"Darius, I heard you've got two stunning girls in your grasp… always at your beck and call?" one of the heirs said with a sly grin.

Darius let out a loud laugh, clearly enjoying the attention. "Hahaha… of course. But do you even know who they are?" he said, his tone dripping with pride. "One is the young princess of Arcadia — Daliah Hale. And the other…" He paused, a smirk forming on his lips. "Lilith Starwind, the prodigy of the younger generation."

"What? The princess?" one of them nearly choked in shock. "Darius, we thought they were just random girls! Have you lost your mind? Do you even realize the consequences of even thinking about the princess like that?"

"That was in the past," Darius replied coldly, raising his glass before draining it in one go. "Now… no one can stand against me. So what if she's a princess?" He scoffed. "As if I care."
