REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 357: Bond Of Blood And Steel

Chapter 357: Bond Of Blood And Steel

Logan didn't hesitate this time. He raised his hand toward the incoming daggers. His newly awakened telekinesis surged into action. But what he expected didn't happen. He could already control up to five weapons at once — yet stopping just these two… felt impossible.

Still, under the combined pressure of his gravity magic and telekinesis, the daggers slowed.

Not stopped... But slowed enough.

The instant they closed in, Logan stepped forward and seized their hilts. His grip locked tight.

The daggers writhed violently in his hands. A sharp vibration ran through his arms, rattling his bones as they struggled to break free.

Logan's expression hardened. The more he tried to suppress them... The more fiercely they resisted. It felt as though, at any moment, they would slip from his grasp and shoot off into the distance, escaping his control entirely.

Amid the struggle, the blades struck Logan's body. One in the opposite hand, while the other in his waist.

Blood spilled out. But the moment his blood touched the daggers...

Something changed.

As if their frenzy had been quenched, the violent resistance began to fade. Logan's eyes widened. A strange sense of familiarity washed over him. It felt as though the daggers were no longer foreign objects —

But extensions of his own body. Acting on pure instinct, Logan loosened his grip.

He let go.

The daggers didn't fall. Nor did they attack him again. They simply hovered in the air… motionless, as if frozen in place.

"It's…" Logan whispered. Shock filled his voice, cutting off the rest of his words.

Just like before, he realized — He didn't need to actively focus to control them. It was different now. All it took… was a thought.

With casual imaginations in his mind, the daggers shot through the air, whistling sharply as they moved — circling the library exactly as he wanted.

Logan let out a quiet breath. A faint chuckle escaped his lips. "It's as if they were made for me."

"You… actually bonded with them?" Audrey said, her voice laced with surprise.

"Yeah," Logan replied calmly. "I didn't expect it to be this easy either. Seems I'm just… fortunate."

'Just fortune?' Audrey fell silent, her thoughts turning inward. 'Those daggers are a pair — at least Imperial Grade. Bonding with them should never be this simple… especially when they're defective. Soul weapons without souls aren't meant to accept a master so easily.' She said nothing.

Meanwhile, Logan continued to test the daggers, guiding them through the air with effortless control, savoring the feeling.

'I'll put them to the test later… see just how destructive they really are.'

His gaze steadied. 'For now… I should leave.'

With a thought, the daggers vanished into his spatial ring. A faint, satisfied smile tugged at his lips.

This journey to Spirit Mountain had brought him unimaginable gains — powers he had never even heard of… weapons others could only dream of.

And yet...

He knew. This was only the beginning. He couldn't help it as excitement rose in his heart.

He turned and walked back toward the table he had been at earlier. The book he came for, the one containing the life story of the man he felt an inexplicable familiarity with — Seika Solwyn's — lay there in silence.

He reached out and picked it up. For a moment, he simply stared at it. Then, without another word, he stored it in his spatial ring as well. Logan didn't linger any longer. He turned and walked out of the library.

As Logan returned to the Long Family estate, he saw Feng Dao standing outside. Beside him stood a young woman — slightly older than Logan, her posture calm yet poised.

It was none other than Lin Dao.

"Young Master," Feng Dao greeted. "I thought you had already left. It's good to see you're still here."

Logan gave a slight nod. "I was about to. I'll leave right after bidding farewell to the current Long family head."

"Good, good," Feng Dao said with a faint smile. "Then let me wish you the best on your journey to the dungeons. We all hope you can eliminate those monsters at their roots."

His expression turned more serious. "If you succeed, perhaps we won't remain confined to Spirit Mountain any longer."

"I'll deal with them as quickly as I can." Logan replied sincerely.

Feng Dao hesitated for a brief moment before continuing. "By the way, Young Master… I know your strength is already extraordinary. But when it comes to matters like this, caution is always better."

He gestured subtly toward Lin Dao. "Why not take a few members of the Spirit Families with you? When it comes to true strength, outsiders simply cannot compare."

His intention was clear. Feng Dao wanted Lin Dao to accompany Logan. He had long considered betrothing her to Logan to strengthen the bond between them. But it wasn't purely selfish — he was genuinely concerned for Logan's safety as well. To him, this was a chance to achieve both. Even if such thoughts might seem shameless after the recent losses… those who were truly wise understood that decisive action could not wait for perfect circumstances.

"Senior Dao is right, Young Master." Before Logan could respond, another voice came from behind.

Wanabe Long stepped out from the estate, his expression calm but firm.

Logan fell silent for a moment, considering their words. Outside Spirit Mountain, cultivators were rare. Or it could be counted as almost zero. And within the dungeons, magic with artificial mana wouldn't work either.

Facing the unknown alone… Was never the best choice.

"Alright," Logan said at last. "I think it's a good idea as well."

"That's great," Feng Dao said, barely suppressing the satisfaction in his eyes.

Wanabe Long gave a slight nod. "Then I'll arrange for four people to accompany you, Young Master."

"Alright," Logan replied.

"Make it three," Feng Dao added quickly. "Lin will be the fourth."

Wanabe paused mid-step and glanced back at him, then nodded. "Understood, Senior."

Without wasting another moment, he left to make the arrangements.

It didn't take long. Wanabe soon returned, three figures following closely behind him.

Two of them were familiar... Chianxu and Xiao.

The third was another elder of the Long Family — the youngest brother of Wanabe himself. Wansen Long.

Logan glanced at them briefly, then nodded.

Everything was set. He was finally ready to leave. Ready to return home.

It had only been a few days… Yet somehow, it felt like an eternity.
